The British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly returned to Ireland in April, taking place over two days in Wicklow.
The plenary was witness to the first address on bilateral ties by the new Taoiseach, Simon Harris, in which he stated that although previous generations have started "a great and enduring peace", we have yet to see the potential prosperity afforded by the Good Friday Agreement. The plenary also heard from Irish Minister of State with responsibility for tourism, Deputy Thomas Byrne, and the British Ambassador to Ireland, Paul Johnston.
