244. Deputy Michael Ring asked the Minister for Education if a matter will be finalised for a person (details supplied) in view of the extensive negotiations that have taken place between this person and her Department and the undue hardship that this is causing to this person; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The position is that officials in my Department have been in direct contact with the representative of the individual concerned in order to address outstanding issues relating to the overpayment and payment of the pension lump sum.
