Vol. 372 No. 13

Written Answers. - Employment of Disabled Persons.

74.

asked the Minister for Finance if the 3 per cent quota for recruitment of disabled persons is being observed by the Office of Public Works; and if in the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 22 due consideration has been given to him.

It has not yet been possible for the Office of Public Works to achieve the 3 per cent quota for employment of disabled persons which remains the target figure. Progress in this regard has been affected by curtailed level of recruitment over the past number of years.

Owing to the restricted level of finance available it has not so far been possible to fill the post for which the person (details supplied) applied. The Deputy can be assured that the person involved received every consideration as, indeed, did all applicants for the post.
