Vol. 5 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - ALLEGED IRREGULARITIES IN DUBLIN POST OFFICE.

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has received a letter alleging certain irregularities in the conduct of business at Denmark Street Post Office, Dublin, from Mr. M.T. Garnett, of Ranelagh, Co. Dublin; whether he has enquired into the allegations, and whether any action has been taken in the matter.

I duly received the letter referred to. Enquiries were made regarding the allegations, and a reply, stating the result, was sent to Mr. Garnett on the 16th instant. No action was called for so far as the Post Office was concerned, beyond the provision of an officer to attend to the public between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
